Yesterday I went out for a test run. 1.5 miles with no pain or discomfort. So I have decided to run the Mews 5k. I won't be going out for PR, I just want to have fun and enjoy the race and atmosphere. I will be listening to my ankle the entire run and if I get any hint of discomfort, I am walking. I am hoping everything is good and will continue with the stretching and strengthening of my ankle. Wish me luck!

That is great news about the ankle. A very good plan for the 5k, just listen to your body and have fun with it.
